The Youth Unemployment issue.

Maybe some of you always wonder what is youth unemployment or what about it. There's a lot to find out about this issue.Looking at youth unemployment in a broader manner,it seems like every country faces this issue.Well,It's a global crisis.Countries have been facing youth unemployment so I would like to believe it's not something that just started happening,What I mean is there's history to it.However, this crisis has been addressed on the different media platforms many times and the global youth unemployment rates have been compared based on different countries.Obviously youth unemployment rates decrease and increase.Interesting enough! some other countries are improving with this issue while other countries are still struggling trying to find solutions.Statistics have provided information in numbers,graphs and charts about youth unemployment.

Working hand in hand with Harambee

We worked on this campaign as a group"Bathathe Accelerators"  and we involved harambee. Harambee is a youth unemployment accelerators, the purpose of our partnership with harambee was to create job awareness and educate youth about Harambee. However , we have visited harambee and had meetings with some of the employees. Opportunely they agreed to work with us on this campaign of youth unemployment and we also had a chance to visit one of the high schools situated in Joburg. Some of our implementations as a group involved creating and disseminate pamphlets for harambee and publishing a blog on Harambee. Working as a team has helped me improve my skills of communicating and writing because we then had to create an online blog but we used an already existing one owned by one of our group member.Again we had to engage on the media , I had to be active on different social networks including twitter and LinkedIn.However,I also had to contribute on traditional media because we created a printed pamphlet.Not forgetting the engagement of our client(Harambee) and our stakeholders (Students) hence I mentioned before we visited schools and harambee as well,to maintain our relationship.Personally, I have learnt from this campaign and gained more knowledge about youth unemployment as a global crises and  the current statistics.As a group we then had to be creative and come up with alternative solutions on this issue, honestly?! we tried because we reached a number of students, youth and people on the streets which we gave out pamphlets to.So working with Harambee was such a great and helpful experience,we were proud that our campaign developed because harambee gained followers and applicants.

Soweto Urban Farming Experience

Soweto Urban Farming is the project I have worked on as a second year student in Public Relations and communications at the University of Johannesburg.We have worked on this project as a group of students,we named our group "Masakhane Practitioners" . Giving a brief information about the project itself,it involved quite numerous chosen farmers that students were dealing with.Well, Let's admit we all have that mind set "Arg! no man, Farming is boring" and some of you still have those thoughts but I promise you its not boring once you get involved and learn more to it.I, Myself too never thought once in my life I'll have to deal with farming.So I say thank you to Professional practice as one of my modules that I had to work on such a project.Today I can say "Never underestimate farming." Farming is very extensive and there's more to it than just what we know.So Hlalefang farm is owned by Mr Elliot Nketso Monyobi 65 of age,he's an individual farmer and he is based in pimpville zone 2 Soweto. The farm is operating just at the same area actually not far from where he stays.Honestly?! it was really a privilege for me to work with a farmer that has been farming for three years.I have learnt so much about farming that I even felt working on this project was for a short period of time but the greatest thing is that I came out with knowledge on farming.Practical practices were involved,what else could I ask for?! Because the most important thing is that I could apply the theoretical information into practical.As Masakhane Practitioners we have worked together as a team to try the best we could.To me,Mr Monyobi was not just a farmer but someone I could learn from,Ask questions from  and look up to.Someone who has been in the farming industry for such a long time.By this I'm forced to mention that He is the best Farmer ever!.

Activities Involved in the project

Interesting enough the project required us as students to do so much for the farmers including the undertaking of visiting the farm more often , coming up with a way to make a difference and be useful, going all out for our farmers and so on. So as the Masakhane practitioners we did all that.Yes,It was not easy and all but it was worth it.I was one of the members that went to visit Mr Monyobi once or twice a week while we were still working on the project,helping him with everything he needed like; cleaning the farm by picking up the rubbish.However , Creating a flyer for Mr Monyobi's  business was the most exciting thing ever! then we had to be creative and advertise his farm so we walked all around the areas that are close to the farm.Well,the smile on Mr Monyobi's face showed how he actually appreciated what we had done for him so I can loudly say "I'm very proud of myself" Having to work with the farmers was not only for them or to help them but at the same time I had learnt and I now know better about farming. Funny enough I didn't know that farming is like any other business,I find out when Mr Monyobi told us about how he had a problem with his competitors and the community as well.Then we had to help him build a relationship with his community and collaborate him with his competitors , as they say it is not about "Competition but Cooperation." Other activities included initial environmental scan,Asset register and compiling a Public Relations plan by doing a swot analysis.By working on this I have learnt what the farmers face on a daily basis,I tell you! Farming is not as easy as ABC. Like any other businesses,Farming has challenges.As the member of Masakhane practitioners it was not easy to come up with objectives but it was required,Objectives have to be realistic ,measurable and achievable.We also had to develop a message , evaluate and have a budget plan. All we have done, I don't regret or feel like it was just a waste of time instead it was very valuable or worthwhile and helpful.

He is one rapper amongst the best rappers in Africa,Don't you agree?okay not everyone likes him but the fact that he was in the top 10 of the hottest African MCs and the cherry on top was him being placed in the first position in the top 10 list.The young rapper has many fans and he is indeed popular,I don't see a reason not to like him.What's funny is, some people are in denial that they like him and yet they listen to his music. Why listen to his music or follow him if you proudly claim that you're not a fan? Come on now, it doesn't make sense! Let's now admit that he is and deserves to be the best Africa's hip hop rapper.There were rappers before him and surely the are rappers after him but he is the trendy nigger.I wouldn't compare him cause there's no other local hip hop rapper good as him,His lyrics,interesting songs and he accommodates his fans.

I love them together and they do make a cute couple,Around of applause please haha!!!.Oh and Another Thing we actually don't know if Cassper is a player or not but it seems he's the one who messed up in the relationship fortunately Boitumelo Thulo is not a bad girl after all ,she has always been there for him,so i guess they now friends as they title it!

The Scandal of Inkandla!!!

Mermaids found in Inkandla,witchcraft or?

Two Mermaids found alive in Inkandla.

Isn't interesting or should I say shocking?that there were two alive mermaids found in Jacob Zuma's homestead at Inkandla.Now the tricky question is,were the Mermaids real or not?Only Zuma knows,I say! but again it's said that the mermaids were alive and kicking but the big question is,are there living mermaids on planet earth? People talk and voice their own opinions just as the leader of the Econimic Fredoom Fighters,Julius Malema who we know to be anti Zuma however he accused the president of practising witchcraft I think that he is really hating on Zuma and exaggerating.Julius went on and accused the president on how he uses the mermaids to always win,does any of this make sense though?no! I ask myself how does this work for Zuma? I believe the president was not helped by the mermaids to become president of South Africa! ow,no! I don't think that's the case.

Jacob Zuma,The President of south Africa and His Inkandla Home.

As we all know that the Public Protector,Thuli Mandonsela investigated about Inkandla and she presented the final report . This has caused so much confusion and chaos in the parliamentary house owh! not forgetting so much disrespect.Sometimes I feel ashamed to be a South African,with all the corruption surrounding our government officials.This is a disgrace for our country,Inkandla has caused such a chaotic situation and cherry on top,opposition parties had to fight the situation for Jacob Zuma to pay back the money as the EFF sang "pay back the money" in Parliament,making it clear that the president used the government money.I do agree with EFF but the way they are so rude in parliament,it's not pleasing.The dignity of the parliamentary house has dropped and on the other side the Democratic Alliance  don't seem to be giving up as they mentioned.both the opposition parties are calling out for the president to repay some of the money spent at Inkandla. I say Zuma rather pay back the money than resigning because South Africa calls for Zuma to resign.
